MSI Group has been ranked as the fastest-growing privately owned healthcare recruitment company in the UK following changes to government legislation designed to curb agency staff spend within the NHS.

The recruitment company, which operates across every available NHS approved staffing framework, was ranked number two on this year’s Recruiter Fast 50 league table. It was the highest ranking healthcare recruiter, and one of nine specialist healthcare recruiters to appear on the list.

MSI Group’s success can be attributed to its unwavering commitment to ethical recruitment. Since it became mandatory for NHS Trusts to procure temporary staff through NHS approved frameworks, MSI Group has seen its client base grow exponentially as Trusts seek out suppliers who can offer value for money without compromising on quality or compliance.

The Recruiter Fast 50 league table is prepared by international mergers and acquisitions specialist, Clearwater. It lists the fastest-growing privately owned recruitment companies in the UK, according to a revenue compound annual growth rate over the three most recent annual reporting periods.

To qualify, companies must be unquoted, registered in the UK and not subsidiaries, although their ultimate holding companies may be based offshore. Companies that are backed by private equity or other financial investors, either minority or majority equity stake, are also considered for inclusion. All companies considered for inclusion must achieve minimum annual sales of £5m in each of their past three financial years.

Qualifying companies are identified through independent research that uses several financial databases, Companies House information, press coverage and other research sources.
