Photography Masterclass

We’re always on the lookout for great new talent, and this class is a fantastic opportunity to learn how to pitch to magazines

National Geographic Traveller (UK) is hosting a Photography Masterclass at theprintspace on 9 March, focusing on how readers can make money from travel photography. Led by professional photographer Steve Davey and National Geographic Traveller’s group art editor Chris Hudson, it will cover the inner workings of photo libraries, print sales, competitions and how to pitch work to magazines and other publications.

The Masterclass will take place during National Geographic Traveller’s Photography Competition 2016 Exhibition at theprintspace, where participants will also be able to see, and be inspired by, this year’s shortlisted images, including the grand-prize winner and category winners.

Pat Riddell, editor of National Geographic Traveller (UK), said: “After the success of our first standalone Photography Masterclass in December 2015, we’re pleased to be working with both theprintspace and Steve Davey again. We’re always on the lookout for great new talent, and this class is a fantastic opportunity to learn how to pitch to magazines and gain an insight into what we’re looking for when we commission professional photographers.”
