EzyServe teams up with Citrix - Solutions Through Homogeneous Software

EzyServe Limited, one of Europe’s first Managed Services Provider (MSP), today announced a strategic alliance with Citrix, the world leader in Application Server Software. Citrix has collaborated with EzyServe to offer services that provide "Digital IndependenceTM" - the ability to deliver any application to any device over any connection - wireless to web. This enables EzyServe to provide its customers with high application performance, from a wide variety of differing devices and platforms.

EzyServe provides an outsourced solution for media and publishing and oil & gas customers worldwide. Clients of EzyServe can access business-critical applications without high capital cost and the overheads associated with operation and maintenance of IT - from hardware and software to personnel.

John Glendenning, Director of iBusiness EMEA, Citrix, explains, "This alliance enables us to develop our customer base through EzyServe's unique MSP offering. Companies are looking at Application Service Provider (ASP) solutions as a way to help them align business and technology strategies, enabling them to maintain their market competitiveness by significantly improving their time to market".

He continues, "The ASP market is exploding with businesses like EzyServe benefiting from Citrix's solutions, which address the needs of the ASP industry today. Products and technology such as Citrix MetaFrame, Nfuse and ICA are emerging as the cornerstone Server-based Computing solution as they tackle a customer need today which is the ability to access any application, from any device, wireless to web".

"Alliances are a crucial and fundamental element of business success for an MSP", explains Craig Mitchell, President and CEO of EzyServe. "Citrix application server software is enabling the growth of the new MSP market, and our customers will be able to take advantage of not only our business partnership, but of rationalised applications and infrastructure. All this without having to invest heavily in the infrastructure and resources required to design, implement and deploy large enterprise class business solutions".

About Citrix

Citrix technology enables organisations to provide access to server-based applications from a wide variety of client devices and platforms. Since these applications are installed, updated and maintained on central servers instead of each client, the cost and complexity of administration are significantly reduced; the Citrix model also enables rapid application deployment. In addition, because the applications execute 100 percent on the server, and only keystrokes, mouse clicks and screen updates are transmitted over the network between the server and client, Citrix software enables high application performance even over bandwidth-constrained connections as well as greater data security.
