Microsoft-based solution delivers significant business benefits,
improves cross-company communication

Webridge, a leader in the development and implementation of B2B private
exchanges, has been named the winner of Best Collaboration Solution in
the 2000 Industry Solution Awards by Microsoft, Corp.

Awards were based on the finalists' use of Microsoft technology,
specifically
Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, Microsoft SQL Server and the
Microsoft enterprise platform. Finalists were also evaluated on a range
of
measurable business-benefit scenarios and were asked to demonstrate with
a customer example how their products deliver the best features and
functionality.

For the award competition, Webridge showcased its private exchange
solution
for IronSpire, a company founded in 1999 by technology and commercial
construction experts to deliver real-time command, control and
communication

functionality to construction teams. Due in part to the familiar
Microsoft-based
browser interface, the Webridge solution provided seamless adoption for
IronSpire
customers.

In addition, IronSpire business managers - not technical staff, handle
management
of the site. The entire solution is delivered in an easily navigated
project
management "dashboard," for more effective construction project
management.

The dashboard enables faster communication, minimizes mistakes and delays,
and improves scheduling and financial reporting.

The Webridge E-Business Exchange solution also handles construction
industry data standards such as the American Institute of Architects (AIA)
XML standard, and IronSpire's use of built-in workflow allows customers to
handle existing business processes and create more flexible processes
focused on improving efficiencies. As a result of the solution,
IronSpire's decision cycle time improved by as much as 2400%, overall communications
improved by 40% and the site is enabled to provide wireless notification
to
PDAs and mobile phones.

"Webridge is honored to receive this validation from an industry leader,"
said Gary Fielland, CEO of Webridge. "In choosing to build our solution
on Microsoft technology, we are utilising the best tools to deliver
eBusiness
solutions for the future. By putting the Internet at the centre of
business,
Webridge is transforming the information exchange involved in an
organisation's commerce and relationship processes."
