Compaq and Acequote Join Forces to Serve the Channel

Compaq has partnered with, the online IT exchange, to provide a new Compaq marketplace which redefines the supply chain for Compaq’s products and services. By utilising Acequote’s business to business (b2b) marketplace, visitors to Compaq’s UK website will be able to request multiple quotations from Compaq’s profiled resellers directly from the Compaq website.

How It Works

The creation of the Compaq marketplace takes place on Acequote’s existing software platform to which Compaq’s partners can subscribe. Leads are delivered from buyers using Compaq’s public web-site to profiled Compaq partners. The leads are distributed to partners according to their Compaq accreditation level.

The system can be utilised in a number of different ways. Buyers can access the Compaq marketplace through Compaq’s public web-site where they are offered a choice of options for sourcing their product or service including the reverse auction platform created by Acequote. Buyers requesting Compaq product through Acequote’s own web-site are able to receive quotes from the Compaq marketplace as well as through Acequote’s own community of resellers. Links to the marketplace will appear from various points within Compaq’s public site as well as from Compaq’s Partner Locator and its recently launched SMB portal, The Source.
