Return of the offline Introduction Agency

Time seems to have gone around in full circle, with more and more people joining traditional dating agencies.

The turn of the Century introduced online dating to the world abolishing the stigma of joining a dating agency. Singles flocked to internet agencies in their droves but now the tide is turning and more and more are opting to join traditional dating agencies to find love.

The industries watchdog the Association of British Introduction Agencies report a 17% increase in new business over the past six months alone.

Heather Heber-Percy, chair of the Association of British Introduction Agencies, comments: ‘In the world of online dating, it’s easy to forget how much money you’re spending and how much time you’re wasting. For example, Channel 4 discovered that it takes on average 749 messages to get a serious relationship online; that’s a huge amount of time and effort. With an offline agency, they do all the legwork for you; plus, you know that everyone is genuinely single and not just after a casual fling’.

Singles who are serious about a relationship are looking at serious avenues to avoid time wasters. Traditional agencies are looking forward to a great future, especially well-suited to those who worry about safety and online privacy; and who doesn’t?
