Brendoncare in Partnership with COA Solutions is Finalist in Charity Times Awards 2009

We have enjoyed a close working relationship with Brendoncare over a number of years and pride ourselves on understanding its needs as a care provider

The Brendoncare Foundation, a leading charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for older people, has reached the final of the Charity Times Awards 2009 for its innovative IT project involving the implementation of software from COA Solutions (www.coasolutions.com). Brendoncare is one of six organisations to be shortlisted in the Best Use of Technology category with the winner being announced at an awards ceremony on 9 September 2009 at The Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.

The Charity Times Awards, now in its landmark tenth year, recognise high standards in the UK charity and not-for-profit sector. Brendoncare has been shortlisted in the Best Use of Technology category in recognition of the successful roll-out of an integrated COA Solutions software system comprising financial management, human capital management (HCM), payroll, business intelligence (BI) and document management functionality (using Version One’s technology). This integrated system, which has been implemented in a phased approach across five years, has replaced standalone and manually intensive systems and processes which were costly, inefficient and prone to error.

Graham Camfield, Accounting Systems Manager from the Brendoncare Foundation, says, “We are delighted that our forward-thinking approach to IT, which has transformed our finance and HCM processes has been recognised by the Charity Times judges.”

Camfield continues, “COA Solutions’ systems have significantly improved efficiency, cut costs and provided us with greater control over our finances and ultimately, our performance. As a result we are now able to focus on our most important priority – improving the services we provide for the elderly people in our care.”

Grahame Marsden, Not-for-Profit Sales Manager from COA Solutions, comments, “We have enjoyed a close working relationship with Brendoncare over a number of years and pride ourselves on understanding its needs as a care provider. Brendoncare making the final of the Charity Times Awards as a result of its use of our systems is therefore a great endorsement of our quality software, services and customer care. We look forward to a continued close relationship to ensure Brendoncare remains a leader, not only in the care industry, but also the not-for-profit sector.”
