Agilisys launches Community Cloud

We understand that for some, Cloud services can seem like a minefield of hidden costs and conditions.

Unique solution to address the needs of public sector organisations on their journey to the Cloud

In another first from Agilisys, the leading provider of digital technology services to the Public Sector has unveiled its unique Community Cloud solution. This is the latest in a series of innovations announced by the company and follows the launch earlier this year of Agilisys Care, a comprehensive suite of digital services for the health and social care sector.

Agilisys already has more than 30 customers on its own secure PSN compliant Public Sector Cloud infrastructure. The innovative service provider has now launched its Community Cloud, assembling a community of Infrastructure providers that will enable customers to ensure they can migrate more of their estate to the cloud than would otherwise be possible.

By combining Agilisys’ established platform and migration approach with its partners’ hyper-scale infrastructures, Community Cloud offers customers a unique means to manage both legacy and future applications as well as ensuring their migration to the Cloud is as cost effective as possible. This approach includes a flexible and scalable migration and operation methodology, which is unique to Agilisys and has already delivered significant cost savings to existing customers.

Agilisys is also pleased to announce that leading global Cloud provider Microsoft will be the first partner to join the Community. The addition of the Microsoft Azure environment, offers customers the option of a more cost effective hybrid solution. This would see some applications and data migrated to Agilisys’ own secure platform and other services hosted by Azure, depending on a customer’s current and future requirements.

Steven Beard, Chief Executive at Agilisys, said: “Agilisys is delighted to launch Community Cloud, which offers an end-to-end IaaS migration solution, providing the unique combination of a proven and secure hosting environment, trusted public sector expertise and the skills needed to migrate even the most complex of infrastructures.

We understand that for some, Cloud services can seem like a minefield of hidden costs and conditions. That’s why Agilisys’ Community Cloud solution is straightforward, with clear pricing and no upfront costs. This frees our customers from dedicated local data centres, realising potentially significant cost savings and achieving long-term efficiency.

Working with our new community of partners, of which Microsoft Azure is the first, we believe Agilisys Community Cloud delivers the performance, security and flexibility required by our Public Sector customers, as they balance unprecedented funding cuts with increased expectations from their citizens”

Richard Zaltzman, Public Sector Director from Microsoft, said: We’re excited to partner with Agilisys, drawing on the company’s long track record in delivering service transformation to local government and the public sector. This is a great example of how our customer’s strategic partners can work together to deliver flexible customer focused solutions, which can help make a real difference to the lives of millions of citizens. This combines Agilisys’ expertise in dealing with the challenges of migrating to the cloud with Microsoft Azure scale and capabilities.
