Baringa Partners makes the Top 20 of The Sunday Times prestigious list of ‘Best Small Companies to Work For’

London, 25th February 2011: Baringa Partners, the leading independent management consultancy specialising in energy and financial services, has been ranked 18th by The Sunday Times in its list of 100 Best Small Companies to Work For, compiled with workplace engagement specialists, Best Companies. Also named as the Best Place to Work in the UK in 2010 by the Great Place to Work® Institute, Baringa Partners’ status as a leading people-centred organisation was re-affirmed by Best Companies’ highest possible 3 star accreditation rating.

“We are delighted that our unique culture has once again been recognised in this way,” commented Mohamed Mansour, Managing Partner at Baringa Partners. “When we started 10 years ago, we made an unwavering commitment to creating a positive and stimulating working environment for everyone we employed. We wanted to be one of the best possible companies to work for and constantly strive to keep to our pledge. The environment we created then, and work so hard to maintain now, helps us to attract, keep, encourage and inspire some of the best people in our industry, producing exemplary results for our clients.”

The Best Companies list is based on an organisation’s Best Companies Index score (BCI), defined by employees’ responses to the annual survey conducted by The Sunday Times and Best Companies. The survey is structured around key elements that characterise the nature of a workplace: leadership, management, opportunities for personal growth, wellbeing, relationships with immediate colleagues, a company’s contribution to society, employee engagement, and pay and benefits.

“Over the last five years we’ve been consistently recognised among the top 20 Best Workplaces in the UK by the Great Places to Work® institute, achieving an incredible first-place ranking last year,” said Jim Hayward, Senior Partner at Baringa Partners. “2011 is the first year we have entered the Best Companies scheme and we are delighted to have done so well. We really believe that organisations that develop strong, empowering cultures are best placed to succeed, and our success proves that strong people engaged in fulfilling work within a supportive environment can achieve amazing things.”
