Better Lives Foundation (BLF) Sponsored walk for the less well off and war afflicted in Sierra Leone

BLF is a UK registered charity actively working by providing education and medical support in those areas where it is scarce or virtually non-existent

On Sunday, 26th of June 2011, supporters of Better Lives Foundation (http://www.betterlivesfoundation.org/) will come together at Richmond Bridge for a sponsored walk along the picturesque Thames Path National Trail from Richmond to Hampton Bridge. The walk is to raise awareness and money for our projects in aid of the less well off and war afflicted people of Sierra Leone.

The event promises to be a fabulous day out for all the supporters, family and friends as the Thames Path boasts splendid scenery, a rural feel and the chance to take in some truly historic landmarks.

Participants have the opportunity to test their stamina, whilst also raising funds for a very worthwhile cause. The 13Km walk will start at 11.00am from Richmond Bridge and ends in Hurst Park with a picnic.

BLF is a UK registered charity actively working by providing education and medical support in those areas where it is scarce or virtually non-existent. We are currently working in Yonibana, Sierra Leone. BLF Volunteers provide their support and services totally free of charge including meeting their own travel and accommodation costs. Many of our volunteers have been actively involved in serving on medical camps in developing countries for many years.

As sponsorship can be obtained either in advance or afterwards, BLF hopes that as many people as possible will take part in the event so that we can continue our vital work in bringing medical health care to the less well off and war afflicted, especially in the fight against Malaria and Malnutrition.
