Blue Coat is the Only Provider offering both Cloud and On-Premise Web Gateway Solutions in the Leaders Quadrant

LONDON, UK, 20th June, 2016 –– Blue Coat Systems, Inc. a leading provider of advanced web security solutions for global enterprises and governments, today announced that it has been positioned in the “Leaders” Quadrant of the June 2016 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Secure Web Gateways for the ninth consecutive year.

Gartner evaluated vendors on their ability to execute and completeness of vision of their products in the secure web gateway market. In the Leaders quadrant, Blue Coat was positioned the highest for ability to execute. Blue Coat recently integrated its Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) technology via its recent acquisitions of both Elastica and Perspecsys.

According to Gartner, “Although cloud-based SWG services are growing rapidly, the overall SWG market is still dominated by the sale of on-premises appliances...We estimate that cloud service revenue represented approximately 27% of the total in 2015.
