The organisers of the inaugural Business Book Awards are delighted to announce the winners of the Self Development category are Tom Bird and Jeremy Cassell with their book The Leader’s Guide to Presenting. The winner of this category was decided upon by a majority vote of the judging panel, lead by Suzanne Collier, the founder of bookcareers.com.
Tom Bird from Guilford, Surrey, UK said “We make our living out of teaching people, training groups and individuals, coaching them around presenting and around influencing. {{We’ve spent a very happy 20 years of our lives doing this, so a big thank you for the opportunity.}}”
Co-author Jeremy Cassell, from Steyning, West Sussex, UK said “Central to the feedback we get is that our approach is intensely pragmatic and practical. In addition, we believe leaders need to be really authentic and it’s those two things that were central to the way we wanted to try and write the book.”
Tom Bird's business career stretches over 20 years and spans sales and sales management as well as personal development and performance improvement. He is a director of Release the Potential (RTP), a performance improvement consultancy and has been involved professionally in developing people to realise their potential since 2000.
