Young people’s charity Changemakers is again looking for organisations in your sector who want to engage young people authentically in their work.
The Future Leaders programme places a Young Advocate within each organisation to lead a project designed to involve other young people in the organisation. A Young Advocate is aged between 18 and 25. They have six months to complete the project, and Changemakers pays them for ten days in the period, at a rate of £50 per day.
Organisations benefit from the voice of a young person from within, talking to young people on the outside.
This year’s Future Leaders participants include Newcastle City Council, the YMCA, Centrepoint, and many more. The only criteria are that you are committed to youth participation and have the capacity to support a Young Advocate over a six month period.
