Brand new pop singer beats Beyoncé into charts

Rise is Matina’s first release. Her follow-up single is due in spring 2014, with an album being launched later this year.

21 year old Matina has raced straight into the Music Week Chart Top 30 with her first release – ‘Rise’

Rise has broken into the Upfront Club Chart ahead of major acts like Beyoncé Ft Jay Z, David Guetta, London Grammar, Tinie Tempah and Disclosure Ft Mary J Blige.

Matina and writers/producers Youngheart are the first two signings for new London label, Coast.

With remixes by dance aces, Hoxton Whores, the track’s sultry groove and soaring vocal have received widespread support from UK and international DJs like Tim Cullen at Ministry, Erick Morrilo, Brandon Block, Tiesto, Mikey Gallagher and BTraits (BBC Radio 1).

Rise has also completed its 7th week in the Malta National Chart Top 10.

The pop version of the track will be released on 10th March, supported by video and radio promotion and coinciding with Matina’s 4-week club and schools’ tour.

Matina has already registered over 125,000 YouTube hits and is gaining a worldwide social media following.
