The last time the H1N1 strain of "Swine Flu" swept around the world with such a devastating effect, it was called The Spanish Flu (1918-19) and was one of the most disastrous pandemics in recent history, killing up to 100 million people. This latest strain of Flu - "Swine Flu" (H1N1) is closely linked to the Bird Flu (H5N1) that has been grabbing the headlines in recent years, but has been around for far longer - according to medical records. This latest bout of H1N1 Flu is described as a mix of swine flu, bird flu and human flu - with the ability to pass from human-to-human.
