20 June 2006 - Bath, UK - CopperEye, an innovator in enterprise search software that delivers order-of-magnitude performance improvements and cost savings, today announced that John Wallace has joined CopperEye as Chairman of its Executive Advisory Board (EAB). Wallace brings nearly 30 years of IT experience in Europe and served as the general manager - Group Information Technology at NatWest, one of the leading UK clearing banks. Most recently Wallace was a founder and executive chairman of CIO Connect Limited the premier UK organization addressing the issues and interests of senior IT executives.

Wallace joins six other executives with extensive CIO and COO experience across key industries, including communications, banking, retail and government, on CopperEye's newly organized Executive Advisory Board.

"Over the past few decades, I have seen remarkable technology innovations, and experienced first hand the value they can deliver to a business," noted John Wallace, chairman of CopperEye's Executive Advisory Board. "The current business environment of dramatically escalating transaction and data volumes demands a whole new approach to the cost-effective management and accessing of that same data. In my opinion, CopperEye is uniquely positioned to address this challenge. I look forward to working with the other members of CopperEye's newly formed EAB in helping the company build on its early successes, and expand into new markets."

"John's financial services background combined with the direct industry and government experience of the EAB members, will allow CopperEye to expand its presence beyond the telecommunications, internet, and messaging service providers," said Kate Mitchell, CEO of CopperEye. "CopperEye Search, the company's innovative solution for rapidly accessing precise records from massive amounts of transaction data stored on low-cost file system storage, has broad applicability for the financial services, retail, pharmaceutical and government sectors. John will work with CopperEye and the other EAB members to help raise the company's visibility with leaders in these markets as a proven enterprise search innovator capable of delivering enterprise class software on a global basis in a matter of weeks for a fraction of the cost of alternative solutions."

CopperEye Search achieves its unique combination of high-performance and low hardware cost as a software-only solution that delivers rapid retrieval of specific records from within billions of rows of structured, unchanging data, stored on low-cost file systems. As a result, CopperEye Search effectively eliminates cost and complexity as obstacles to maximizing the value of business transaction data by allowing companies to create high-performance data repositories for record-intensive applications at the lowest cost possible in today's market.

Using CopperEye, companies are able to improve global business operations and implement more powerful business applications at dramatically lower costs than competing solutions. CopperEye's underlying technology is a new, patented indexing approach that delivers a quantum leap in performance over traditional indexing alternatives.
