Eric Thomas Warns Against Drugs and Crime Prior to London Visit

Award winning international speaker, author and mother from Croydon Dr Ava Eagle Brown will be hosting a special event featuring the critically acclaimed ‘hip hop preacher’ and YouTube sensation Dr Eric Thomas. Urban Life 2016 with Eric Thomas and Friends will be taking place in London on Saturday 24 September.
Radio presenter Sonia Poléon and Dr Ava Eagle Brown will welcome a number of inspiring individuals from a variety of backgrounds to share their experiences with the visitors at the event. Experts in property, wealth and finance will share the stage with actors, singers and artists making sure there is something for everyone.
Dr Eric Thomas (better known as ET) will be the keynote speaker at Urban Life 2016 and is set to visit a London school to talk to teenagers about the dangers of gangs, drugs and crime. His incredibly successful YouTube videos have accumulated over 50 million views and he works with some of America’s leading sports personalities.
Dr Ava Eagle Brown spent her early life living in rural Jamaica and experienced a harrowing childhood where she faced abuse and harsh ordeals, following a devastating experience she was forced to move away. Dr Ava used her experiences to transform her life and is now an internationally renowned speaker and transformational coach helping other people make the most of their lives. The mother of two is also a celebrated author, her book “The Mango Girl” is in process of being made into a film.

In the past year serious youth violence has increased by eight percent in London, with gun crime also becoming more common. We believe our speakers will empower young people to understand the importance of education and what they are able to achieve.

Dr Ava Eagle Brown was unable to enjoy formal education as she spent much of her childhood searching for money and food to provide her family’s next meal. She was determined to change her life and succeeded in achieving a Bachelor in Business Administration and a Diploma in Secondary Education from the University of the West Indies at Mona, Jamaica.
