Editorial Training, a national publishing and editorial skills training provider, has launched a seminar to help people supplement their income during the lean times with their own freelance proofreading business.
The event, which is being held in central London on the evening of 21st September, has been designed to provide advice and support on how to make a business out of proofreading – something that can be done from home and easily fitted around work and family.
Alex Painter, Marketing Director at Editorial Training, said: “As a training organisation, we’re very aware of the issues impacting people during the recession, and proofreading is a popular choice when it comes to supplementing an existing income. This is especially relevant for families who are feeling the pinch because, as inflation has continued to rise, many people are experiencing pay freezes, or worse, facing redundancy.
