Northgate to help housing providers improve service delivery

Northgate Information Solutions today announces it has enhanced its service to clients in the housing sector, enabling them to better meet the needs of their residents, particularly in relation to the management of the critical and costly repairs process.

After extensive engagement with existing partners, Northgate has developed an additional tool to support more effective and efficient service management.

Northgate Contractors is a new component of the Northgate Housing solution, and will be demonstrated live at the Chartered Institute of Housing conference in Harrogate next week.

It will enable housing services staff to benefit from:

• A work allocation tool with automated scheduling and routing to ensure that the right people are available at the right time, for example to deal with urgent repairs – providing more flexible customer service;

• An intelligent mobile solution that increases productivity through enabling contractors to send progress reports to the council throughout the day and receive instructions for the next piece of work;

• Improved forecasting, through the ability to monitor and control costs and generate detailed budgets for services;

• Extensive performance analysis, enabling effective monitoring and continuous improvement.
