Residents dwell on Housing Hartlepool’s “splendid” new service

Housing Hartlepool, Hartlepool’s largest registered social landlord, today reveal the success of its new 24 hour repair line, which is being delivered to residents in partnership with Northgate Information Solutions, a leading provider of ICT and managed services solutions.

Working in close partnership with Housing Hartlepool, Northgate is providing a comprehensive ICT managed service, and one of the key services that Northgate has recently implemented has been the 24 hour repair line, which residents can use to report any repairs required.

Northgate’s managed service has provided an exceptional level of service quality, with a quick turnaround in reporting the repairs on behalf of the residents. This is supported by residents, who have been keen to praise the new service.

One rang to congratulate the company on the new repairs service. He was “very impressed” with the service that he had received. Another resident rang to compliment Housing Hartlepool on the new repairs service. She was offered an appointment and knew when the gas fitter was calling. She said it was “a splendid, efficient service”.

Catherine Purdy, Chief Executive of Housing Hartlepool, said today:
“As Hartlepool’s largest registered social landlord, with over 400 staff operating from four offices, including three neighbourhood-based offices, we have benefited enormously from our relationship with Northgate, who have provided us with comprehensive ICT management and support. This ensures that we can focus our resources where they are needed most, and empowers staff to deliver excellence, continually improve and provide services that are valued by the local community.

“There has been a vast improvement in the service that our staff have been able to provide for residents, and the new 24 hour repair line provides our residents with a convenient, reliable and beneficial service. Northgate takes the time and effort to understand the needs of our business and of our employees, in order to deliver success based on the intelligent use of technology.”

James Turnbull, Managing Director of Northgate Infrastructure Solutions, added:
“Our relationship with Housing Hartlepool dates back to 2001, when the service was still provided with the council. The benefits and results of this long and close relationship are clear – through providing Housing Hartlepool with the ICT solutions that it needs to respond effectively to the housing needs within the community, and provide high quality and value for money services.”
