Fortius Group Prepares for Growth

Fortius Group LTD

The FortiusClinic has today announced the completion of a corporate restructure, together with a fundraising deal, heralding the start of ambitious expansion plans for the company.

London Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Centre Ltd, trading as The Fortius Clinic, has restructured as Fortius Group, with Fortius Clinic as a wholly owned subsidiary company. At the same time the Group has raised debt and equity finance from within the existing and new Fortius orthopaedic consultants, as well as from a number of private investors.

Chief Executive of Fortius, Jim McAvoy commented: “We are very excited about this next chapter in our development. We are well placed to respond to changes in the UK private healthcare market, and the funds raised will help to accelerate our progress.”

The first stage in the Group’s plans will be the opening of a second orthopaedic diagnostic and treatment centre (ODTC) in the City of London early next year, followed a few months later by a central London Surgical Centre.

Speaking of the company’s plans, Mr McAvoy said: “Through management of the end-to-end patient pathway, and an uncompromising insistence on excellence, we’re committed to delivering the highest standards of patient care while driving out greater value. This process is supported by an approach to outcomes visibility that puts us at the forefront of the sector."

From the initial Founder group of twelve, there are now almost 50 consultants practising under the Fortius banner, the biggest single musculoskeletal group in the UK. Consultants and specialists at Fortius are at the forefront of their fields and a reputation for excellence remains the benchmark for entry.

“The quality of the Fortius brand and the reputation of those that practice within it are fundamental to the future development of the business” comments Jim McAvoy.
