Team shirts and pants will be good luck charms for Liverpool fans ahead of this weekend’s UEFA Champions League match

Lottoland reveals the top ten good luck rituals of Liverpool fans

As Liverpool fans get ready to cheer Klopp’s team at the Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Ukraine this Saturday against Real Madrid, Lottoland has quizzed 2000 UK football fans on their good luck rituals ahead of a game.

Of those who said they supported Liverpool, the top ten lucky charms are:

1. Wear a lucky team shirt
2. Sit in the same seat in front of the television
3. Say a little prayer
4. Wear lucky pants
5. Drink the same drink during the match
6. Wear lucky socks
7. Carry a lucky charm
8. Wear the same clothes
9. Only have a wee at half time
10. Wear a lucky hat

Nigel Birrell, CEO, at Lottoland, said: “It’s great to see that the traditional team shirt is still the favourite lucky charm of Liverpool fans ahead of the weekend. It will be great to see that sea of red at the stadium in Kiev on Saturday, as well as at the open-air events planned in the city.

“Lucky pants also feature quite prominently, but I’ll be honest, I’m hoping that we don’t see many of them on the weekend – no matter how warm it is in the Ukraine.”

Nigel added: “At Lottoland, we love an interesting good luck charm, but more than that we love winners and we have been lucky enough to see a few people walking away from our games with some extra cash in their pockets in recent weeks.

“Let’s hope all of the lucky charms from the Anfield Army pay off this weekend and the British team walk away with the Champions League trophy.”

Lottoland has launched EuroMillionaire GO! This new game offers players the chance to win huge jackpots that match the underlying Euromillions draw every hour, or - if they don’t match any numbers – get their money back.

EuroMillionaire GO! is now available at www.lottoland.co.uk, with more GO products to be launched over the coming months.
