Investor's Champion launches a hard-hitting Blog on small quoted companies for private investors

London 17 January 2007 –, the web site that champions the cause of the independent investor, has launched a new Blog that provides independent and forthright commentary on smaller quoted UK companies.

The Blog is often written following meetings with company management and visits to their premises. These first hand experiences are backed-up by rigorous desk research of relevant financial data by equity investment professionals.

The resulting ‘tell-it-how-it-is’ commentary in the Blog aims to bridge the gap between the house broker’s and sponsored research, which is paid for by the company itself and usually only distributed to the broker¹s clients, and the ‘tabloid’ approach which often appears to be adopted by specialist investment magazines.

The Blog is not intended to be hot tips promising huge returns within an unrealistically short period of time. It simply aims to draw the reader’s attention to some of the key areas of importance. Coverage includes forthcoming IPOs, management performance and strategy and qualifying AIM companies for Inheritance Tax planning purposes.

Visitors to the Blog, viewable at are able to comment on subjects raised in the Blog, read previous contributions and sign-up to free research bulletins designed to engender interest and discussion in smaller quoted companies among private investors. Private investors are finding its easy-to-read, informed and independent stance an invaluable aid to investment decision-making.
