Puccini Liqueurs continues its award winning run with 2 Stars at iTQi Superior Taste Awards!

Following 4 consecutive Gold Medals and 2 consecutive ‘Best in Class’ awards at the International Wine & Spirit Competition, Puccini Crystal Sambuca has now achieved an impressive 2 Star ‘Remarkable Product’ award at the recent International Taste & Quality Institute (iTQi).

Notable comments by the international judging panel included:

“Well-made product, classic in style, bursting with distinctive and pure flavours that are harmoniously smooth.”
“Despite strong alcohol presence, nice aroma and smooth flavours.”
“Distinctive flavours of herbs and anise, very pure and attractive.”

Whilst most sambucas are perceived to be nothing more than crude ‘shooter’ style drinks, Puccini is quickly gaining a reputation as a genuine alternative to premium white spirits. With its original 1940’s recipe and classic bottle design, Puccini has all of the heritage and style associated with the finest spirits and liqueurs.

The Puccini range also includes the extremely appealing Graphite black sambuca and fantastically natural tasting Limonino limoncello, with advocates including super-club Crystal in London and award winning Boutique Bar in Leeds. Indeed, renowned mixologist Gary Hayward has even created a range of cocktails using the Puccini range which are now being adopted at bars all over the country!

Puccini History

The Puccini brand was created by Salvatore Puccini in the 1940’s, when Salvatore moved from Venice to Trieste. After getting married, he decided to start his own business making a sambuca liqueur according to his family recipe, which was actually of Middle Eastern origin from centuries earlier. Unfortunately, the invasion of Trieste by Yugoslavian troops during the 1940’s put a quick end to Salvatore’s dream of launching Puccini Sambuca.

The unique recipe and elegant bottle were recently bought to life again by Toorank Distilleries with the launch of Puccini Sambuca.
