Hall & Partners’ Global CEO Vanella Jackson has been elected Chair of the Market Research Society

With an ambitious three-strand election manifesto that pledges to strengthen ties between research, business and government, Global CEO of Hall & Partners Vanella Jackson won the hearts and minds of MRS members - who rewarded her passion and commitment today by voting her Chairman of the Marketing Research Society (MRS).

As part of her manifesto, Vanella has vowed to support the research industry through challenges presented by new digital technologies and emerging methodologies, and is calling for greater promotion of market research among business and international audiences, and for strengthening of the leadership and collaboration between practitioners across the industry.

“I am extremely proud to work in research and am passionate about its ability to inform and inspire business,” said Vanella. “It is a huge compliment to be chosen by the MRS membership to take over the reins from Rowland Lloyd - who certainly leaves big shoes to fill. In this new role I will help the MRS to build on Rowland’s work and so fulfill its potential in leading our industry and becoming a more active and positive voice.”

Vanella Jackson’s career has seen her at the helm of both advertising and research agencies, where she has built up industry expertise and thought leadership in the field of brand communications. Her innovative leadership of Hall & Partners has contributed to the agency becoming the first research company to win a place in The Sunday Times’ ‘The 100 Best Companies to Work For’, as well as accolades including Research Magazine’s Best Place to Work 2009 and Marketing’s Research Agency of the Year 2008.

Vanella will take up the position on 1 April 2010, following the completion of Rowland Lloyd’s two-year term. Rowland, who is COO of Operations at Ipsos, will become MRS Vice President.
