91% of British people believe that one USB charging type would benefit the workplace – research by CMD Ltd.

According to a recent survey, 46% of British respondents were unaware of any new laws regarding USB regulations, including 17% who were unsure. CMD are a British manufacturer that create ergonomic and workstation power products for people in offices and commercial spaces. In January 2025, in conjunction with new USB laws, they conducted research into how the British public feels towards a universal USB charging cable and their attitudes to how it can benefit the workplace.


Taken from a sample of 421 British corporate employees, 91% believed there were advantages to having one universal charging cable, and 91% thought it would benefit the workplace.
