VIENNA, July 30th 2008 - Interxion, a leading European provider of carrier-neutral data centres, today announced that it has completed the expansion of its Vienna data centre, creating approximately 500m² of additional equipped space. The new space brings the total amount of equipped space in the company’s Vienna data centre to around 3,500 m². A quarter of the new space has been signed for by customers, and installations have already begun.

The Vienna expansion addresses a steady rise in demand from both prospects and customers for highly secure outsourced IT and telecommunications hosting facilities with access to multiple carrier networks.

The new space supports a wider range of power configuration options, including high density configurations, following the upgrade of the centre’s power supply from 2.5MW to 10MW.. The centre also features free air cooling to maximise energy efficiency.
