The Royal Arts Prize is awarded to a new artist yearly, chosen from hundreds of submissions.

A shortlist of 26 artists was made, artists selected from a wide range of ages and varying cultures. Contemporary and international in its evocation of today’s a multi-cultural Britain.

The judging panel looked for work that best embraced the artist own individual exegesis in their own art form and expression, a visual artwork that represented an inner journey of thought and successful execution by the artist.

The Royal Arts Prize 2018 V Edition exhibition in La Galleria Pall Mall Gallery comprised paintings, drawings, sculptures and photographs. If you missed the exhibition you can view and buy the works from our online catalogue.

The exhibition has now come to an end and it is our pleasure to announce the 2018 Winners.

{{The 2018 winner of the Royal Arts Prize , is ERIKO KANIWA an international award-winning fine art photographer based in Tokyo}}, and the creator of the Sensegraphia Fine Art Photography, a conceptual redefinition of photography, in which the visual aesthetics of the photograph are used to develop and express a sense of nature that enables us to recognise that humans are a part of the natural environment and that we are centrally involved in nature's dynamics.

We will host a solo exhibition in the Royal Opera Arcade Gallery of Eriko Kaniwa's photography in 2019, following in the footsteps of previous edition’s winner's Deepa Khanna Sobti (Winner 2016) and Radan Cicen (Winner 2017).

Once again, we have acknowledged the artists that our visitors have enjoyed the most. WENDY FREESTONE (British sculptor) and ALICE CESCATTI (London based painter) are the winners of the RAP 2018 Visitor’s Choice Award.

A joint exhibition of their sculptural and painting works will be announced shortly.

Submissions are now open for this ever-expanding project that will host its VI. Edition in 2019.
