Ideal Hardware has been chosen as the sole UK distributor for Auspex, manufacturer of advanced Network Attached Storage (NAS) servers for Enterprise clients. Ideal will provide Auspex’s high-end NAS solutions, allowing Ideal to deliver fully integrated Enterprise storage offerings to its customers.

US NAS market leader and parent company of Ideal, Bell Microproducts, recently announced the signing of a distribution agreement with Auspex, allowing them to distribute Auspex’s NAS products and solutions. Following Bell’s success in the NAS market, Ideal will spearhead Bell’s European NAS operation.

Garry Elliott, Auspex Country Manager comments: “By partnering with Ideal Hardware, Auspex strengthens its commitment to growth with an indirect strategy providing the highest quality products and services in the industry. This agreement enables Auspex to leverage Ideal’s demonstrated leadership throughout the marketplace. Through Ideal Hardware, Auspex reinforces its core strategy to bring industry-leading NAS solutions to a broader range of VARs and integrators.”

Mike Collins, Ideal’s NAS product manager, comments on the signing: “The addition of Auspex’s NAS family of products to our portfolio, strengthens Ideal’s NAS strategy and complements the Storage Area Network (SAN) strategies and high-end platforms we are now developing and investing in. This allows us to deliver fully integrated Enterprise solutions. The alliance with Auspex, coupled with Bell’s US success in the NAS market, provides us with the platform from which Ideal will establish itself as the global No. 1 NAS distributor. The agreement positions both parties with access to the solutions, services and reseller markets that will allow us to successfully deploy and manage our customers’ NAS solutions.”

Auspex’s NAS solutions are used by industries and enterprises to optimise IT infrastructures, leading to the maximisation of file transfer performance and enterprise-level data availability. Designed to provide fast, reliable access to multi-terabytes of consolidated UNIX and Windows NT data, Auspex offers comprehensive NAS solutions for customers with traditional network applications or corporate Internet sites, including those with dynamic business-to-business e-commerce functions.
