Leading digital technology specialist, Traxdata, has chosen Ideal Hardware, subsidiary of US based Bell Microproducts Inc., as the exclusive UK IT distributor for mStation, the first dedicated in-car digital jukebox.

With 10GB capacity and built-in 1 MB buffer RAM, mStation has the capability to store up to 3,000 music tracks (around 200 CDs) and operates from a unit no larger than a CD autochanger. Using a PC and the supplied custom version of Real Jukebox software, transferring the average CD to mStation takes less than eight minutes. mStation also allows the user to download authorised tracks from the Internet and, MP3 technology allows tracks to be stored in a highly compressed format whilst maintaining digital quality sound.

“Ideal has a proven track record of success with Traxdata products, our No. 1 status in the UK CD-R market is testimony to this, and makes Ideal the natural choice as the sole IT distributor of the mStation,” comments Robin Hamilton, director of marketing at Traxdata. He continues: “The launch of mStation fronts our 2001 drive into the digital storage market and with Ideal as our channel partner, we’re looking forward to further success.”

Gordon Milner, Ideal’s sales director, comments: “The addition of the mStation to our digital storage portfolio enhances our consumer product offering and compliments our range of DVD, CD-R and CD-RW removable storage offerings from a range of premier vendors. We are delighted to be given exclusive distribution rights of the mStation and our dedicated sales team is committed to the continuing success of Traxdata solutions.”
