Younger employees are shaking up the workplace, find out how at a new skills workshop taking place in Croydon on Wednesday April 27.
They can bring an amazing passion and energy to a team. However, arriving late, being constantly plugged in and having little respect for experience may sound familiar to many employers of the Generation Ys and Zs.
Hazel McCallum, founder of Coulsdon-based Moving On Up Coaching, is asking the question, “{{Are organisations taking advantage of an increasingly age-diverse workforce and doing all they can to develop the younger generation of team members?}}”
Hazel is a passionate and experienced coach and is delivering a workshop entitled Generation Wise in Croydon.
The free workshop is taking place on Wednesday April 27 2016 from 9:00AM until 11:00AM at Croydon Business Venture, Weatherill House, New South Quarter, 23 Whitestone Way, Croydon, CR0 4WF.
The event is aimed at operational and HR managers and directors across all businesses, in particular those with a work force aged under 30, including apprentices and graduate trainees.
Hazel will also be joined by Kevin Horlock, who offers a wealth of experience in coaching, management and leadership from a career spanning 44 years.
Speaking ahead of the event, Hazel McCallum said “Generation Ys – the under 30s, and Generation Zs – the school leavers, are a strong asset to every workforce, but their challenges to the old rules can shake the confidence of business owners.
“Our Croydon workshop will be a productive and educational insight on how you can harness the strengths of these employees in the right way, all while keeping your sanity!”
The interactive and informative event will help managers discover how to develop their younger employees into highly productive team players with a focus on what drives young employees, the skills needed to capitalise on their range of strengths and how combining all of this will help your business to grow.
On the agenda is key advice for developing communication techniques and coaching styles. These will help manage and strengthen relationships and enhance emotional intelligence.
Hazel specialises in helping people to perform at their peak without getting burnt out and has a special interest in the inter-generational workplace that is currently emerging and posing unique challenges. She also specialises in stress management, emotional intelligence and developing interpersonal skills. Moving On Up Coaching offers a personal, interactive and authentic approach to developing these areas.
