The National Autistic Society, the UK’s leading charity for people affected by autism, is asking people to show their support on World Autism Awareness Day (2nd April) and ‘stand up for autism’ by helping to raise awareness of the condition in their local community.

World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD) was set up in 2007 by the United Nations to bring together autism organisations around the world and give a voice to the millions of individuals with the condition.

This year The National Autistic Society is looking for people to ‘stand up for autism’ and tell friends, family, or even strangers about the condition and what it means to you.
