Diffusion joins the PRCA and is awarded the Consultancy Management Standard

London, August 2012 - Diffusion has joined the PRCA (Public Relations Consultants Association), the professional body that represents leading PR agencies in the UK. Following a rigorous independent audit, Diffusion has also gained the coveted PRCA Consultancy Management Standard (CMS) to become a fully accredited member of the Association.

Considered as the kite mark for PR excellence and professionalism, the CMS is an independently audited set of tests which a consultancy must pass as a member of the PRCA. It has been adopted by 15 international PR professional bodies and combines elements of ISO 9001 and Investors in People with criteria specific to the public relations industry.

Diffusion passed with flying colours in areas such as business planning, client management and satisfaction, new business, and people management.

Daljit Bhurji, Managing Director of Diffusion commented: “We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded such a prestigious accreditation. It is testament to the hard work and excellence employed and displayed by Diffusion and its employees on a daily basis, but also serves as assurance to our clients that the service we provide is of a gold standard.”

Francis Ingham, Chief Executive of the PRCA, said: “The CMS is the foremost mark of professionalism in PR, and I heartily congratulate Diffusion on passing the audit. They’re an exciting agency, and I’m looking forward to them working closely with the PRCA “.

About the PRCA

Who we are: Founded in 1969, the PRCA is the professional body that represents UK PR consultancies, in-house communications teams, PR freelancers and individuals. The PRCA promotes all aspects of public relations and internal communications work, helping teams and individuals maximise the value they deliver to clients and organisations.

What we do: The Association exists to raise standards in PR and communications, providing members with industry data, facilitating the sharing of communications best practice and creating networking opportunities.

How we do it and make a difference: All PRCA members are bound by a professional charter and codes of conduct, and benefit from exceptional training. The Association also works for the greater benefit of the industry, sharing best practice and lobbying on the industry's behalf e.g. fighting the NLA's digital licence.

Who we represent: The PRCA represents many of the major consultancies in the UK, and currently has more than 250 agency members from around the world, including the majority of the top 100 UK consultancies. We also represent over 70 in-house communications teams from multinationals, UK charities and leading UK public sector organisations.
