The all-new Peugeot 5008 SUV 1.2 PureTech 130 Allure has been named as the ‘Best Large SUV’ at the 2018 What Car? Awards, acknowledged as among the most prestigious by the car industry.

The seven-seater SUV beat off stiff competition by impressing judges with its premium feel and competitive price.

The quality of the all-new 5008 SUV is a result of the contemporary materials used for a luxury finish, combined with the latest technology and practicality. The technology on board includes Peugeot’s innovative i-Cockpit® and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

The all-new Peugeot 5008 SUV includes a raft of practical features such as: underfloor storage, three matching separate folding and tilting seats in the middle row (all ISOFIX compatible), rear sun blinds and two removable rear seats. Additionally, its outstanding modularity allows legroom to be maximised and has an impressive load space of 952 litres when row three is folded down.

Steve Huntingford, What Car? Editor, said: “Don’t underestimate the 5008 SUV’s victory here – that it stands so tall over its rivals, including last year's winner, the Skoda Kodiaq, is a huge achievement. Nothing else offers you the same premium feel for the price.”

David Peel, Managing Director at Peugeot UK, said: “The What Car? Awards are among the most prestigious accolades in the industry and scooping the Best Large SUV with the all-new 5008 SUV, in such a competitive sector, is a fantastic achievement.

“The all-new 5008 SUV offers a new perspective on volume, a sophisticated style and an agile driving experience and we’d like to thank the team at What Car? for the award.”

The award was announced in a ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House on the evening of Tuesday 23rd January.

The What Car? Best Large SUV award is the second award received since the vehicle’s launch. The all-new Peugeot 5008 SUV went on sale in January and has already generated more than 1,200 orders in the UK.

The all-new Peugeot 5008 SUV can be fully configured and ordered using Peugeot’s industry leading ‘Order Online’ facility at www.peugeot.co.uk along with the rest of the Peugeot SUV range.
