The University of Brighton is offering financial support to students applying for its Postgraduate Certificate in Social Marketing.

One free place, a number of part study awards and prizes for outstanding students are available thanks to the support of leading communications and community cohesion consultants The Campaign Company (TCC). Applications for these awards are now invited for 2010. The closing date is 31st May 2010.

TCC Chairman Jonathan Upton said: “At a time when the budgets of many organisations are under pressure, we are delighted that we can do a little to help make this excellent course accessible to those who can benefit from it most.”

With rising obesity rates placing a huge burden on the NHS and global warming high on the political agenda, the use of marketing skills and related techniques to influence behaviour is increasingly in demand, particularly in the health and environmental sectors.
