Quantix move to support Online Bookmakers during World Cup Finals

Quantix, the UK’s leading provider of remote managed services for enterprise applications and databases, has created a discrete support solution aimed at assisting online bookmakers during what is likely to be the most gambled upon event in history – the 2006 World Cup Finals.

The service will run for a fixed period from May to July and will be aimed squarely at those online bookmakers who utilise gambling applications that run on Oracle or SQL Server databases. The solution will be packaged to include 24x7x365 services that ensure “Best Practice” is being followed, that systems are fully prepared and that optimal uptime and performance is achieved throughout the tournament.

Simon Goodenough, Sales Director at Oracle Certified Advantage Partner Quantix, explained that “we understand the mission criticality of enterprise applications that underpin online businesses due to our work with financial institutions, retailers, utilities and indeed other online gaming organisations. It is difficult to measure exactly how much new online business will be generated during the World Cup, however, it is likely to be vast, so we aim to offer a cost effective support service that will substantially reduce the risk of any application downtime.”
