I decided I wanted to develop a global network of like minded coaches who can share and support each other.

A social networking site exclusively for sports coaches around the world has been launched at

Aimed at all levels of sports coaching - from amateur to professional - the site is the brainchild of Nottinghamshire-based Keith Binley, a volunteer squash and swimming coach. “ In my early coaching career I noticed that coaches were always willing to help each other, but that their support network was very limited.” said Keith. “This is where sportscoachlinks comes in – I decided I wanted to develop a global network of like minded coaches who can share and support each other.

“The website has its foundations in the traditionally supportive network of sports coaching, where coaches are proud to share best practice and advice, wanting the best possible performance for all to ensure exciting and demanding competition.”

No sport is off limits. The network is drawing members from all types of sports and from countries around the world. Keith said: “All sports coaches want to get the very best from their players or athletes regardless of the event they are involved with. Techniques, coaching methods, discipline and motivation exist across the board, and is an exclusive social and professional networking site for sports coaches across all sporting disciplines.

“By creating profiles to promote skills and services and embracing the opportunity to develop their own coaching network worldwide, coaches are broadening their expertise and passing on their successes.Sportscoachlinks is already benefitting sport around the world.”

The site allows sports coaches, from any sporting discipline, to link up with friends and colleagues as well as making new contacts in the sports coach world, and it opens up a personal coaching support network that Keith Binley believes can help develop coaching careers.

Binley adds: “We have coaches on the site that train their local football team along with professional sports people and elite coaches. It’s a great little community that shares advice and support wherever you are in the world. And it’s free to use” The site currently has members in over 20 countries – from as far afield as the US and Australia – and from over 45 sporting disciplines.

In addition to the networking facilities, also features the latest news in sports coaching, articles and blogs, details of job vacancies, up and coming events and courses. Clubs can also list and promote themselves on the site and there is a useful file sharing facility where individuals and clubs can upload and share documents.
