Gamma goes off-road to drive business for IT managers

Over the top with GBC

Building relationships with business IT resellers, Gamma Business Communications (GBC) hosted a driving skills fun day at Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge, Surrey.

Important players in the business listened to industry insights from both GBC and invited speakers. Tim Walker of Taylor Made Computer Solutions discussed a recent case study while GBC outlined the latest unified communications strategies, its views on Cloud 2.0 and the consumerisation of IT, and explored whether BYOD was more bring your own disaster than device.

As the UK’s dominant provider of SIP trunks, the company also showed how SIP can be connected to MS Lync®, enabling calls to be made direct from the fast-growing Microsoft platform. Following a look at the benefits of Gamma’s latest hosted voice solutions, invited guest speaker Taylor Made Computer Solutions explored the transition from in-house telecoms to a managed service.

With the presentations over, business turned to fun with an afternoon of driving fast cars on race tracks and the skid pan and also going off-road with 4x4s. The lucky attendees got to do some serious driving with equally serious cars including the 631hp SLS AMG Black and the ML for off-roading.
