TrackR platform now opening doors for UK lock pioneer
London, UK, 12th April 2017 – TrackR, a leader in personal item management innovations, today announced another Works with TrackR platform win with Brisant, the high-security door lock specialist.
The Works with TrackR platform enables developers and manufacturers to find any item via Bluetooth-low-energy (which consumes 50 times less power than Bluetooth Classic) or TrackR’s Crowd Locate network. The latest product to use Works with TrackR is Brisant’s innovative Ultion Keyring.
Ultion Keyring’s built-in TrackR technology means homeowners can connect their smartphone to their keys via Bluetooth. Using the slick and the user-friendly TrackR app, they can ring their lost keys. If the homeowners are in the house but still can't find them, they just need to press a button on the app and their keys ring thanks to a 95 decibels’ buzzer. To make finding them at night even easier, Brisant has created a luminous Ultion Keyring that glows brightly in the dark. A real lifesaver, considering keys are the most commonly misplaced items among adults.
Out of Bluetooth range? Keys fell out of your pocket? TrackR’s Crowd Locate network is a new way to help recover lost items without a monthly fee or expensive live GPS device. The connected TrackR community will automatically start searching for your keys. If one of the millions of TrackR users walks by your missing key while running the app, you’ll receive a confidential update with your key's last known location. TrackR app users help each other find over a million items every day.
Brisant Director, Nick Dutton, says: “Ultion Keyring is designed to help installers sell doors for modern living. Homeowners can buy a door with the most secure cylinder door lock, Ultion, which comes with a free 10 year £1,000 guarantee against burglary by lock snapping. Now, thanks to TrackR technology, they can find their Ultion keys quickly and accurately, adding further peace of mind.”
“We are incredibly excited about how quickly the Works with TrackR program has been adopted and Brisant is disrupting the locksmith and new door lock market” remarks TrackR President and Co-Founder, Christian Johan Smith. “This is exactly the sort of partner TrackR was seeking.”

TrackR has shipped more than 4.5 million devices, is ranked #1 as the fastest growing company by Pacific Coast Business Times and #155 by Inc. 500. TrackR is backed by The Foundry Group, Resolute Ventures, IncWell Capital, Amazon Alexa Fund and Orange Fab. With TrackR, your search is over. TrackR is available at www.TheTrackR.com and retail outlets worldwide.
Brisant started in 2012 selling a range of innovative cylinder locks to locksmiths. Most locksmiths are small local firms who repair and replace door locks. They operate out of small premises and vans. They don’t have a lot of money to fund a large stock of locks in all their variations which they need to respond to whatever lock brand or type they are called out to attend to. Brisant redesigned its locks so locksmiths needed only 25% of the stockholding required by traditional locks. Brisant designed new locksmith-friendly packaging, and new tools with colour coded locking pins so locksmiths could assemble locks quickly and surely in cramped conditions and poor light in the back of their vans. Brisant does not compete with its locksmith customers online. It sells replacement locks through locksmiths, and its marketing directs homeowners and door installers to their local locksmith. Brisant promotes locksmiths, who boast on social media about the security of its locks. Ultion, its flagship lock has passed Sold Secure Diamond (SSD), the Master Locksmiths Association standard.
