Arcserve Unified Data Protection (UDP) Wins Editor’s Choice ‘Product of the Year’ at the Storage Awards

I wanted to specifically highlight UDP as a product that consistently gets better with every release

Data backup and availability pioneer recognised for its consistent market innovation and a knack of making the difficult appear easy

June 21, 2018 – Arcserve, the data backup and availability pioneer, today announced its flagship Arcserve Unified Data Protection (UDP) solution has been named ‘Editor’s Choice – Product of the Year’ at this year’s Storage Awards in London. The award recognises innovation in data protection and underscores Arcserve’s excellence in redefining the way organisations protect data through solutions that deliver enterprise power with small team simplicity.

More than 60,000 votes were cast as readers of Storage Magazine voted across 29 categories for those viewed as having delivered outstanding products and services over a twelve-month period. The awards were held at the Tower Hotel, Tower Bridge where over 200 of the storage industries finest were in attendance.

"Arcserve as a company has been a regular finalist in the Storage Awards for a number of years, and they've previously enjoyed success in our Project and Solution categories, which recognise real world success stories alongside various partners,” said Dave Tyler, Editor, Storage magazine. “This year I wanted to specifically highlight UDP as a product that consistently gets better with every release, and is well established as a tool that makes a difficult task look easy: combining ease of deployment and use with very high performance for all kinds of environments."

Said Mick Bradley, VP of Sales for EMEA, Arcserve, “The award reflects the choices we’re seeing customers make in the market this year as demands placed upon them highlight the need for simple cost-effective solutions that deliver enterprise performance on a sliding scale when it comes to protecting data. This has seen our EMEA business grow at five times the market rate as businesses realise the benefits to be had from configuring and managing all aspects of their data protection strategy via a simple user console.”

Arcserve UDP redefines how businesses deploy and manage data protection with a single solution that delivers system resiliency across the entirety of their cloud, virtual, and physical systems. This makes managing complex data truly effortless.
