SuperCal is the premium calendar application for the iPhone and iPod Touch platforms.
Wanga, the iPhone application developer, today announced the launch of SuperCal Connect, an alternative to the built-in iPhone and iPod Touch calendar.
SuperCal Connect allows users to wirelessly sync appointments in their SuperCal calendar with Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook or Apple’s iCal - without the need for an intermediate web server. The direct synchronisation works over local WiFi networks and also over 2G and 3G for iPhone users syncing with Google Calendar.
SuperCal provides comprehensive calendar display options with support for daily, weekly and monthly views. The app also allows users to link contacts, notes, websites and map locations with their appointments.
Commenting on the launch of the SuperCal application, Nigel Pinches, CEO of Wanga Limited, said:
"Feedback from a number of iPhone user groups showed just how much time and effort people are expending in keeping their mobile devices in sync with their desktop and online calendars. SuperCal provides a welcome solution for those users. With its simple “click and go” wireless calendar synchronisation, slick user interface and useful appointment linking facilities, "SuperCal is the premium calendar application for the iPhone and iPod Touch platforms.""
A free version of the application, SuperCal Lite, is also available on the iTunes Store. SuperCal Lite has all of the same calendar features as its bigger brother but without the syncing – great for those users who like to try before they buy.
