Westica Increases Product Portfolio

Launch At ITU Telecom World 2003, Hall 2, Scotland Pavilion, Stand 2150.000

Building upon the success of it's leading MRR800 point-to-point microwave
radio system, Westica has developed an exciting new product portfolio to
serve the needs of public network and commercial users. This product
introduction includes higher capacity radio products, innovative and
cost-effective multiplexer products and a flexible and adaptable protection
switch. As a major strategic player in the global telecommunications
transmission infrastructure market, Westica has chosen to launch it's
growing product family range at this year's ITU Telecom World event in

This growing product family consists of; MRR800, MBR1000 and MBR2000
point-to-point radios, MRM1500 X.21 multiplexer, MBM2000 E1 multiplexer and
MFS2000 protection switch, amongst others.

Westica's reputation for providing highly reliable and technologically
advanced microwave radios operating in the 1.4GHz international frequency
band and other low-frequency point-to-point bands, has been enhanced thanks
to the development of the MBR1000 and MBR2000. These products provide the
user with access to higher capacity and are ideally suited to users
requiring long range (over 50km), simple installation and set-up, and
reliable operation over difficult terrain. The MBR1000 and MBR2000 offer
the benefits of a full 1Mbit/s or 2Mbit/s payload respectively, coupled with
robust and reliable transmission.

Now being installed in networks world-wide, both the MRM1500 and the MBM2000
are intelligent, modular and highly flexible, Add-Drop Multiplexers which
provide a full range of audio, voice telephony (POTS) and digital data
services to end users needing to interconnect and establish a link over an
X.21/E1 circuit. The MRM1500 and the MBM2000 are compatible with a large
range of terminal devices (routers, switches etc) and transmission
equipment. It is particularly suited to use with Westica's range of
microwave radios, but connection to copper and fibre wireline networks is
also possible.

Exhibiting in Hall 2, on the Scotland Pavilion, stand number, 2150.000,
Westica invite those attending to take the opportunity to gather knowledge
on the wide range of communication solutions on offer from this specialist
