Zen Internet upgrades Broadband service with the award-winning FRITZ!Box 3490 router now offered as standard

Leading independent Broadband provider Zen Internet has upgraded its standard router to the FRITZ!Box 3490, which offers better WiFi speeds and range in multiple-device homes. The router will now be included free-of-charge as part of the standard Fibre Broadband activation package.

As a demonstration of Zen’s continued commitment to delivering best in class connectivity for its customers, Zen has upgraded the router provided with all Small Business and Residential Fibre Broadband packages to the FRITZ!Box 3490. The router has received widespread recognition for its feature rich capabilities, and appears on PC Advisor’s list of the “Best wireless routers 2017”, gaining 4.5 out of 5 stars, and outperforming market leading routers including BT’s Home Hub 5 and Talk Talk’s Super Router.

Boasting the fastest WiFi technology on the market today and offering blistering throughput using Wireless AC and N, The FRITZ!Box 3490 delivers an advanced feature set that provides the stability and speed required in a modern connected world. As Andy Sayle, Zen’s product manager for broadband explains: “We live in a world where all the devices we use are increasingly smart. Not only our computers but our phones, TVs and even light bulbs all want to connect to the internet - and the thing that connects everything together is our WiFi router.

The right router goes a long way towards having a frustration-free experience on all of our connected devices. That’s why we’ve partnered with AVM to bring the FRITZ!Box 3490 to our customers. {{The FRITZ!Box offers great performance and great features to provide a fantastic experience.}}”

Normally retailing for well over a hundred pounds, the router will now be free to all of Zen’s new Fibre broadband customers. Furthermore, Zen have not forgotten their existing customers who have the option to upgrade at a highly competitive price.

Coupled with Zen’s announcement late last year to freeze line rental until 2020, this is yet more evidence of the increasing value for money that Zen is bringing to its customers.

Andrew Fryatt, managing director, small business & residential division, adds: “We always aim to serve our customers in the best way possible, and this upgrade marks the evolution of that aim, demonstrating our commitment to providing first-rate connectivity solutions as standard.”
