The IT Service Management event of the year

The 19th Annual UK Conference of the IT Service Management Forum (itSMF UK) takes place at the Novotel London West in Hammersmith on 8th-9th November 2010.

One of the most influential IT gatherings of the year, the Conference brings together industry leaders, users and consultants to promote ‘best practice’ in service management strategy and processes, focusing in particular on ITIL, ISO/IEC 20000, CobiT and other ITSM and IT governance frameworks.

Kicking off the Conference this year is world-famous explorer and motivational speaker Sir Ranulph Fiennes, who will be setting the keynote for the programme of more than 40 presentations from across the ITSM community. Sessions include a look at the ‘Cloud Computing Conundrum’ by Forrester Research principal analyst James Staten and a closing address by ITIL V3 chief architect Sharon Taylor. Other sessions include case-studies from companies such as Virgin Atlantic, the UK Border Agency, Unilever, and the Bank of England.

Alongside the Conference, there’s an exhibition featuring more than 30 sponsors and exhibitors from the service management world, led by platinum sponsor Pink Elephant. Also, on the Monday evening, the Conference will play host to the ITSM industry’s annual awards dinner hosted by impressionist Jon Culshaw, where the best ITSM trainers, students, project managers and practitioners will be recognised for their achievements.

“This is the first time the itSMF UK’s Annual Conference has come to London,” said deputy CEO Ben Clacy, “and we are looking forward to a bumper attendance from both the UK and from other itSMF chapters around the world. We believe the London location will greatly enhance the entire Conference experience for sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and delegates alike.”
