After running the VAT Report within AccountsPortal, it’s a simple matter of entering your Government Gateway credentials and clicking a button to file. AccountsPortal submits all the relevant information to HMRC. The response is saved against the VAT Report for future reference including important Payment Data indicating whether amounts due are to be paid manually or collected automatically by HMRC via Direct Debit.
