LONDON, UK – 13 JUNE, 2018: London-based startup Krzana has been selected as an official technology provider to Verificado, a pioneering news verification project featuring over 90 publishers, universities, Google and Facebook, to tackle fake news in July’s Mexican election.
Krzana, an AI-powered real time search platform, will be used by Verificado, a collaborative election reporting and fact-checking initiative, to monitor breaking news on social media in the runup to the election and on the day Mexican voters head to the polls
Krzana’s platform discovers text, video and images as soon as they’re uploaded, enabling Verificado to counter with instant fact checking before fake news starts trending, a key tool in Verificado’s mission to find and debunk fake news on social media ahead of the 1 July election.
