Ross

Excel Networking Solutions, the copper and optical cabling infrastructure provider, has won the ‘Intelligent Cabling Vendor of the Year’ award at the Intelligent CIO Technology Excellence Awards 2016, hosted by Lynchpin Media in Dubai.

The award ceremony took place at the Westin Hotel in Al Habtoor City, Dubai, on May 11, 2016 and honoured companies and end-user individuals that have shown outstanding examples of IT implementation excellence and pioneering spirit in their chosen field of specialisation in the past year.

A nomination process was put into place to identify candidates for various categories, thereafter, a prestigious panel of judges convened to select winners. The panel consisted of Eliot Beer, a regional industry expert who has worked across some of the region’s most respected IT publications; Ivan Kraemer, former regional leader of HP and Potential and Chris Moore, former consultant and regional expert for numerous companies (including Trend Micro).

Ross McLetchie, Director of Sales for Excel said ‘We are delighted to win the award, particularly beating off strong competition from the likes of Nexans and Siemon, this really highlights how the Excel brand has been accepted and continues to grow in the Middle East. Over the last couple of years we have won some significant projects in the area including the Bvlgari Hotel, Blue Waters Meraas Development, University of Dubai, the Habtoor City, Dubai and the National Bank of Oman, to name but a few.’

Ross concluded ‘The breadth of the Excel range is also expanding, we’ve recently launched the Environ Lock Solutions which is a full range of electronic locks with a choice of networked or standalone configurations and our product roadmap for 2016 will see a specific focus on our fibre solution for the Enterprise and Data Centre market and Residential Cabling products, exciting times ahead for Excel.’
