Centrify Server Suite 2016 Achieves Certification with SAP NetWeaver

Centrify extends secure access across SAP infrastructure, including SAP applications and the endpoints that access them

Centrify, a leader in securing enterprise identities against cyberthreats, today announced that the SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified Centrify Server Suite 2016 for the SAP NetWeaver technology platform. The solution has been proven to integrate with SAP NetWeaver, providing secure operation of SAP applications from infrastructure to endpoint.

Centrify delivers comprehensive identity solutions that address both privileged and end user accounts. With the certification, Centrify provides the market with a true path to secure their SAP infrastructure and software environments across endpoints, data centres and applications, for both end users and privileged users.

Security teams are struggling to prevent data breaches in the cloud and mobile era. Compromised user identities are the leading cause of data breaches, and traditional perimeter defences are not up to the task of protecting organisations. The tight integration between Centrify Server Suite and SAP NetWeaver infrastructure helps to better secure the enterprise and protect critical information. And thanks to Centrify’s platform solutions, IT and helpdesk personnel can now use a single administrative tool — Microsoft Active Directory — to define consistent security policies to control access to the family of SAP applications running on SAP NetWeaver, the SAP HANA platform, SAP Fiori user experience and public cloud apps.

By leveraging existing investments in Microsoft Active Directory, Centrify customers can integrate SAP applications and Microsoft Active Directory, resulting in secure single sign-on and centralised identity management. The integration also provides enhanced security for SAP applications on UNIX and Linux, as well as single sign-on for the SAP graphical user interface and browser.

“We are excited to support customers running SAP software in the areas of cloud, on-premises and mobile security,” said Lee Godby, director of business development at Centrify.

“We are seeing significant momentum with SAP software in the enterprise and are proud to deliver an industry-leading, comprehensive solution that extends beyond single sign-on to address identity requirements across data centres, managed applications and mobile endpoints.”
