Deli of the Year 2011

The competition to find the Deli of the Year 2011 - the delicatessen with more ‘deli attitude’ than any other - is being run for a second year by Dorset food producer Olives Et Al. Thousands of people voted for their favourite deli to be crowned Deli of the Year 2010 and in 2011, the judging panel of independent food experts will once again, begin its search for the deli that stands out from the crowd. The judging process is tough and exacting – which makes the title of Deli of the Year 2011 even more valuable and one worth winning.

“Last year was a great success and we were heartened to hear just what people think of shops that have that unique deli atmosphere –we had nominations for delis from Scotland to Cornwall and of all shapes and sizes from tiny delis in corner shops to smart town delis. Delis are an important part of the food culture in the UK and to walk into a great deli is like no other food experience,” said Giles Henschel of Olives Et Al....
