Christmas is a joyful time, but it can also be a busy and sometimes stressful time, with a MORI survey revealing that around half of us feel stressed by the demands of the festive season.

Studies, such as one by Oxford University researchers reveal that the practise of mindfulness -- the state of focussing the mind on the present moment can help to reduce stress by around 40%.

And Christmas is a particularly good time to try it.
